Early Voting

Early voting data lets you see which voters have already cast their ballots at early voting locations. This information updates daily during the early voting period, helping you focus your outreach on voters who haven’t voted yet.

How it works

During early voting periods, the Florida Division of Elections publishes daily reports of voters who have cast ballots at early voting sites. Neurelect ingests this data and matches it to your voter file, so you can see early voting activity in real time.

Elections automatically appear in your targeting panel when:

  • Early voting is currently active, or
  • Early voting recently ended (within 15 days of election day)

Filtering options

For each election, you can choose how to handle voters who have voted early:

Keep— Include all voters (default)
Exclude— Remove voters who voted early
Only— Target only early voters

Common use cases

Exclude voters who already voted

The most common use case is excluding early voters from your canvassing or phone lists. If someone has already voted, there’s no need to contact them about turning out.

  1. Open the Early Voting panel in your targeting filters
  2. Find the election you’re working on
  3. Select Exclude to remove early voters from your list

Target early voters

In some cases, you may want to specifically reach voters who have already voted early—for example, to thank them or ask them to help get others out.

  1. Find the election in the Early Voting panel
  2. Select Only to target just the early voters
  3. Export or view your filtered list

Data timing

Early voting data is published daily by the state and typically reflects votes cast through the previous day. The exact timing depends on when county supervisors submit their reports.

During active early voting periods, check back daily for updated voter counts.
